Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This policy explains how the CONNECTMATRIX app and service process personal data under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Data controller
Carlo Tenca. For any request you can contact the controller through the details listed on the app's App Store page.
Data we process
- Apple identifier: the anonymous identifier provided by Sign in with Apple, used to recognise your account.
- Name and email, only if you choose to share them through Sign in with Apple (the email may be an Apple private relay address).
- Node data: unique code, the node name you choose, position in the tree, score, link date.
- Subscription data: transaction identifiers and subscription status provided by Apple. We do not process payment data: payments are handled entirely by Apple.
- Technical data: IP address and server logs, kept for the security of the service.
What other users can see
In the Matrix other users see your node name, its position, score and number of branches. Your code, name and email are never shown to others.
Purposes and legal bases
- Providing the service and managing your node and subscription: performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Security, abuse prevention and legal obligations: legitimate interest and legal obligations (Art. 6.1.f and 6.1.c GDPR).
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or cross-app tracking, and we do not sell it.
Retention
Node data is kept while the account is active. If the subscription lapses, the node is removed after 30 days. "Delete account" in the app erases your name, email and Apple identifier immediately. Server logs are kept for a limited time.
Recipients
Data is stored on servers located in the European Union and processed by hosting providers acting as processors. Apple processes payment data as an independent controller.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing (Arts. 15-22 GDPR), and lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. For any request you can contact the controller through the details listed on the app's App Store page.
